Meet the Mayor

Laura Kropp, the 41st Mayor of Mount Clemens and the youngest to ever hold the office, has been a dedicated resident since 2001. Elected in 2019 after serving on the School Board and as a City Commissioner, she’s also one of only four women to serve as mayor in the city’s history.

Known for her open-door approach and commitment to community connection, Mayor Kropp hosts monthly Coffee Talks and actively supports local organizations like the Anton Art Center and Turning Point. Outside of City Hall, she and her husband run a local cabinetry business and enjoy time with their two sons at their cottage on Lake St. Clair.
